<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Digital Functional Skills joins our Essential Digital Skills qualifications as a part of the Department of Education (DfE) for developing digital skills.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Digital Functional Skills Qualifications with TLM are available at Entry Level 3 and Level 1 and are ready for teaching immediately. These qualifications, funded by the government in England, are accessible to individuals lacking the digital skills required for present-day society, including the professional environment.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">These</span><a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1029751/Digital_Functional_Skills_qualifications_-_subject_content.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span style="font-weight: 400;"> standards </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">will form part of the New Digital Functional Skills (DFS) that will be available for first teaching in August 2023.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Digital Functional Skills Qualifications (DFSQ) will enable students to initiate and participate in digital and online activities safely in the workplace and other real-life contexts. At this level, DFSQs should:</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">enable students to gain confidence and fluency in their use of digital knowledge and skills, and develop a positive attitude towards the use of digital skills;</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">enable students to develop an appreciation of the importance of digital skills in the workplace and in life generally;</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">enable students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills by applying these to complete tasks and activities; and</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">provide a basis for further study, work and life</span></li>
