CSCS Green Card Information for Learners

 

The TLM Level 1 Award in Health and Safety within the Construction Environment is a recognised qualification that helps you understand how to work safely on a construction site.

This qualification is one of the requirements for applying for a CSCS Labourer (Green) Card, but the card itself is not issued by TLM.

After you achieve your TLM qualification, you must also:

  1. Pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Test, and

  2. Apply directly to CSCS to obtain your Green Card.

1. Does TLM issue CSCS cards?

No. TLM is the awarding organisation that provides the qualification only. The CSCS card is issued by CSCS, not by TLM or your training provider. All card applications and renewals must be made directly through the official CSCS website.

 

2. I’ve passed my exam – how do I get my result or certificate?

TLM does not communicate directly with learners. Your training provider will receive your result and certificate once moderation and verification are complete. Please contact your training provider for any updates or duplicate certificate requests.

 

3. Can I find out my exact score or percentage in the exam?

No. The qualification is graded on a Pass/Fail basis only. TLM does not release numerical scores or percentage results to learners or centres. Your training provider will confirm whether you have passed.

 

4. How long is my TLM qualification valid for?

The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety within the Construction Environment does not expire, but CSCS may have their own rules about how recently you completed your qualification before applying for a card. Please check directly with CSCS
for their current policy.

 

5. What other test do I need to take?

To apply for the CSCS Green Labourer Card, you must also pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Test. You can book this through the CITB website.
