Digital Technologies

The overall purpose of the qualification is to equip Learners with up-to-date, transferable digital media skills appropriate to media industries.  Learners will become adept at using hardware and software to manage key elements essential to effective day-to-day running of digital media industries.  This requires in-depth knowledge of latest developments in digital technology, to facilitate employment of best practice in managing communications and digital technologies.

This new TLM Technical Award: 

·         is aimed at Learners aged 14 and over aiming to be employed in the digital media industries 

·         provides knowledge of digital technologies and skills that increase productivity in key areas of the industry.  

·         includes 120 guided learning hours (equivalent to one GCSE) 

·         consists of four mandatory Units 

·         has 40% of the qualification externally set and assessed by TLM 

·         examination components will be available on two occasions each academic year (January, June). 

TLM Level 2 Technical Award in Digital Technologies in Media provides successful candidates with knowledge and skills that can be applied in a range of apprenticeships, internships and junior level employment. ·         TLM Level 3 Diploma for Digital Professional Expert
