Financial Literacy

The TLM Financial Literacy qualifications have been developed to reflect the realities of modern life, where young people and adults are expected to make informed financial decisions from an early stage. These qualifications are designed to give learners a practical, confidence-building understanding of money management, from everyday budgeting and saving through to borrowing, financial planning, and understanding risk.

Available from Level 1 through to Level 3, the qualifications and their associated programmes of study explore personal finance, the wider financial system, and the impact of financial choices on individuals and communities. Learners are supported to develop the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking needed to navigate topics such as digital payments, credit, debt, fraud, and consumer rights in real-world contexts, helping them to become informed, responsible and financially capable citizens.

Financial Literacy Level 1/2

The TLM Level 1/Level 2 Certificate in Financial Literacy aims to integrate finance knowledge with decision-making skills. Learners discover budget optimisation, financial sustainability, and well-being. Additionally, they explore diverse career paths, emphasising the importance of financial stability for career success.

Financial Literacy Level 2

The Level 2 Financial Foundations for Life and Career Success aims to integrate financial knowledge with decision-making skills. Learners discover budget optimisation, financial sustainability, and well-being. Additionally, they explore diverse career paths, emphasising the importance of financial stability for career success.

Financial Literacy Level 3

The Level 3 Certificate in Finance builds on the foundations established by our existing Level 1/2 and Level 2 Finance qualifications, offering a natural progression route for learners seeking to deepen their understanding of personal and strategic financial management. This qualification is designed to support learners in developing more advanced knowledge, skills, and behaviours relevant to everyday financial decision-making and broader financial planning.
